Solar Pumps vs Power Pumps

The most common question asked is – Does a Solar pump save you money? The answer is – You need to rephrase the question! Is the cost of a NEW SOLAR PUMP installation viable? The answer is a huge NO! however to convert your existing pump to work on solar is VERY VIABLE. What is the difference in costs? The solar borehole pump is about R30K and Solar pool pump is R50K The cost of a standard borehole pump is under R10K and pool pump is R2.8K So how can we improve his and how is it achieved? 2 ways this can be achieved

·      You have an existing borehole pump or pool pump as examples All is needed is Solar panels and a PICOCELL 2000 – R10K

·     New installation New standard 220v borehole pump R10K & PICOCELL 2000 R10k = R20K and the solar panels.

R20K is already cheaper than a NEW SOLAR borehole pump. The cost of a Solar pool pump is ridicules and should never even be considered. This is the initial saving you will make. Excluding any installation costs. The costs of the solar panels were not included as in all events the costs remain the same. You may have an existing solar installation already which could be used or expanded to include the pumps saving you more. Summery: NO Solar PUMP installation is viable in any respect
